I. Project - ALGORITHM

Own Designed Algorithm

After creating the given algorithms we started to think about designing our own one.

SNOWMETRY

Four players, four colors, first clockwise turns, then simultaneous drawing

I. Place a triangle in the middle of the sheet
II. Draw a circle around a vertex of the triangle (not in the same color)
III. When there is a vertex with a circle around it, you are allowed to draw another triangle which has a vertex in that point
IV. Stop when you think you can see a snowflake

FORM IDEAS

  • Draw a circle then a triangle with one vertex touching the middle of a circle
  • Draw a circle touching the middle of a triangle
OPTIMISATION
  • Newly drawn shapes should not touch other shapes than the one before
  • Intersection area is filled with the next color

FINALISATION

MAKING IT MORE COMPLEX

  • Rectangles and lines were added
  • Experimenting ways of creating a more complex structure
  • Trying out different color schemes
  • Testing different fill methods and arrangements
  • Adjusting size issues

Final Algorithm: SNOWMETRY

Four players, four colors

  1. Alternately draw circles and triangles
  2. New shape intersects the center of the previous shape
  3. Intersection is only allowed with the previous four shapes
  4. Different fill methods for each player
